Today, we went on a geocaching
trip to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The 4.3 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge connects
the Eastern and Western shores of Maryland. Until this bridge was opened in
1952, ferries were used as the main mode of transportation between these areas.
The caches that we found on the
Eastern Shore were placed in State and local parks which have a view of the
Chesapeake Bay and have been popular places for tourists and local people to
visit.
We stopped at a cache in Annapolis that we were not able to find last week. This time we brought some geocaching "tools" with us but they were not needed. I think all three of us learned a lesson when we finally found this one.
Before returning home, we made a
quick stop at the grocery store to get a few items.
For dinner tonight we had
spaghetti, salad and French bread. Now all three of us are resting and watching
a disappointing Baltimore Orioles baseball game on T.V.
